Paying Attention

What's different from a year ago? About the places, about the people, about me...
I've met some good people - excellent people. And I've grown with those who have come close. Small things have shifted around and profound lessons have been come up to.
Like getting up close to the edge of a ravine - being able to look out and down and afar to see more of what there is to see.
To be impacted & changed by:

The creative inspiration and  growth that comes from blog-following and fire bowls.
From books read and conversation had.
From weakness revealed and pride recognized.
Forgiveness asked and the receiving of help.
Presence in the midst of pain.

Kayaks as instruments of peace; Wendell Berry as food for thought; the memorizing of Scripture because of hunger for the Word.  Coming alive at camp and realizing that 'alive' happens everywhere. "I am not made something different by my circumstances but instead what I am is revealed by them."
