Recieving Well

I have often read, heard others speak or pray of clarity.

:: the quality of being certain or definite

and I was recently left an impression on by the passing prayer of a friend.
a phrase that, in essence, was a request for clarity with purpose.
So that, once knowing, one could go on in confidence & preparation.
I have often envied the clarity of others as they move about in their lives
wanting very much to be able to laugh, choose, understand & speak with clarity.
'Succinct' became another word I often fiercely yearned to live out.

Yet in the grand combination of experience, impressions - prayer & absorption.
I find myself able to look more fully at not seeing things so clearly or envying quite as much the ability to communicate succinctly.
Valuing more so the qualities of trust & obedience.  In reflection upon entering into another year I recognize how capable one is of receiving. How important it becomes for me to excel at receiving from others; receiving from God.
To not merely mumble words of acceptance but instead to reach arms out warmly & gratefully with the follow-up of thanks & care for the giver.

Turning from words of encouragement or thoughtful gift of time, package or money
to act in like manner to anyone else who may or may not receive.
